Throughout our Melaleuca Wellness Guide, there are references to the fact that Sol-U-Mel diluted to the directions can repel bugs. However, I don't think it would be a very cost effective idea to spray the entire yard. It doesn't kill the live ticks, either, it just acts as a repellent. If you're concerned about protecting your pets, follow the "Ticks" suggestions in the Dogs & Cats section of our Guide. If you'd like to protect the people in your house, follow the directions for "Insect Repellent" in the Healthy Body section of the Guide. Thanks for the question, Shiela.
